Also stiff...
There should be another frame for a transition with the motion blur, instead of going to a second frame then a couple frames of blur.

*UPDATES*
I have finished Sylux's idle. I also added waiting animations. One is where he presses buttons on his arm cannon to check its settings. Another one is where he shiftes his Shock Coil to the Imperialist and takes an aim to see if he could make a headshot (represents Trace). What do you think?

1. Idle-

Knockback looks good, Idle is stiff. You're just selecting pixels and moving them around instead of actually...making different idle poses....

I love the knockback. But I agree that everything is a bit stiff.

Still a little stiff, but it's a lot better than before.

Out of all of my constructive critism for Sylux, all I hear (or read) is the word stiff. Now I really want to submit him on his best quality and I need to know how to fix stiffness. Do I have to add a frame in between the begining of the attack and the end while the motion blur is at its biggest? How do I fix stiffness for attacks and the idle.

Stiffness is what it sounds like. Stiff movement, in other words, when you punch, your legs move or the body is too still. Notice that the legs move a little strangely int he Idle, and the upper part of the arm barely moves.

*UPDATES*
I have fixed Sylux's forward smash to be more fluid. I reduced the stiffness by making him lean back a little What do you think? Is it better?

I don't think you get what we mean by fluid. Although he leans back and has more ANTICIPATION; which is good, it's still not very fluid because it still skills large amounts of distances for the motion blur itself. It goes from up to down in a frame with a duplicate frame in front with the motion blur on it.
That's what needs to be changed.
The frame of the blur before the final point needs to move more and not jump
plus you need some precipitative frames at the end instead of it stopping for a bit; because after words he'll go back to idle pose, right?

Better? I added a frame in between the beginning and end of the axe kick. Is it fluid now?

Also, I made a classic trophy which was copied from Brawl.

What's the difference between mine and yours? They look the same to me besides speed.

Compare them side to side
I added another frame and changed the positions on two of your blur frames.

If you can't make an arm edit, then the other option is moving almost everything you can of the past frame to the next frame. Most of the people use this as idles with just one or two different frames.

It makes the sprite more fluid sometimes.
BTW, bump and 100th post in this section Razz

Honestly, the arm cannon thingie needs to move sometimes, and that kick just looks unnatural.

My thoughts are the same as SKs.

You try and kick like that.
And also, try and kick like that and see how your arm moves.
I bet you it won't stay completely straight like in that animation.

Kinda, mostly biased though, I still play that game to this day. XP

His final smash should be changed to the omega cannon.

Meh, it's okay Raptor. I've been thinking to update this (due to lack of one) and he refreshed this topic for me.

Astruvis@ No because it would be a cheap FS and pretty much any hunter could use the Omega Cannon. What makes Sylux special? I gave him his ship because it makes a unique FS.

Ok, first off anyone and everyone who is truly pro at mph(unless playing no-imp or low tier) uses sylux or trace, mostly sylux. Oubliette, the arena with the OMG cannon, is most advantaged to sylux. You should also give sylux an imperialist attack. I think it would be more like how sylux was really used an not the stupid AI sylux who sucks.

It obviously could be "tuned down" for SSF2 or whatever, since if done like it is in mph it would def be OP.
